Welcome to our Chinese tourists! 您好,欢迎来到科茨沃尔德!

The very first direct flight from Beijing, China touched down at Birmingham International Airport today – the first direct flight from China to a non-London airport, and the first of a weekly service that will see visitors from Beijing landing on Brummie soils each Tuesday throughout the summer.

This is great news for Birmingham, which is a vibrant, thriving city that is often overlooked by our capital London, as well as for the West Midlands and the Black Country regions too. Our new Chinese visitors should note that you’re not too far from Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswolds either!

By train, Birmingham International Airport is just over one hour away from Stratford-upon-Avon: a beautiful and historic riverside town that was the birthplace of our most famous playwright, William Shakespeare. While you’re visiting the Midlands, it’s definitely not a town to be missed!

The Venice of the Cotswolds – our tour will take you to the picturesque town of Bourton-on-the-Water

And from Stratford-upon-Avon you are just 15 minutes away from the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Cotswolds is a countryside area of stunning natural landscapes and some of the most picture-perfect, typically English towns and villages you will see in the country. It’s full of charm, history, exquisite architecture, great food and drink and lots more!

Although the Cotswolds begins just 15 minutes’ drive away from Stratford-upon-Avon, it can be difficult to access if you don’t have your own transportation. That’s why we founded Go Cotswolds – the first and only scheduled minibus service offering guided day tours of the Cotswolds from Stratford-upon-Avon.

Operating on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, a scheduled Go Cotswolds tour is for up to 16 people and costs just £35 per adult and £25 per child under 16. If you would like to take a private, bespoke tour, we can also arrange this for you on the other days of the week for a very reasonable hourly hire rate.
