Go Cotswolds provides small-group day tours of the Cotswolds from Stratford-upon-Avon and Moreton-in-Marsh on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays (and Thursdays too between June and September). We also run a Purity Brewery and Cotswolds Pub Tour on the first Saturday of each month, as well as private tours and private hire on request.
The Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty begins a 15-minute drive away from Stratford-upon-Avon – a tourist destination in its own right, thanks to a certain William Shakespeare who was born and lived here. Yet, despite its proximity, Stratford-upon-Avon is not well known by tourists as a base for visits into the Cotswolds. In fact, until we began providing our tours in 2014, there was no regular, practical or affordable way for visitors based there to visit the Cotswolds in a day, without their own transport, or by hiring a prohibitively expensive taxi.
We want everyone to know that it is possible to visit the fantastic town of Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswolds in one vacation. We heartily recommend that when visiting the UK, you should take a trip out of London to spend some time in Stratford-upon-Avon and join us on a tour to see the real English countryside.
About the owners
Go Cotswolds was founded in 2014 by Tom Benjamin, and is run by Tom and his wife Lisa. The company was incorporated as Go Cotswolds Ltd in December 2018.
Tom is from a small village just outside of Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire, while Lisa originally hails from Kent in the South-East of England, but as an alumnus of Warwick University, has lived in the Midlands since 2001.
Both have an enormous passion for travel and, between them, Tom and Lisa have visited over 50 countries around the world. They met in Buenos Aires, Argentina, got engaged in Cape Town, South Africa, and spent their honeymoon road-tripping around the United States. Now the adventures continue with their little daughter Zoe in tow!
But there’s no place like home, and no matter where they have wandered, Tom and Lisa always come back to their home on the edge of the Cotswolds. As locals, they have intimate knowledge of the area, and have put together an award-winning day tour that provides a fantastic introduction to the Cotswolds – including a mixture of popular tourist spots, and some lesser known, off-the-beaten-track places that you’d only know about if you lived here yourself.
