If you’re staying in the pretty Cotswolds market town of Moreton-in-Marsh and would like to see some other parts of the Cotswolds – join our tour! We provide a free pick-up/drop-off from Moreton-in-Marsh rail station. Here is everything you should need to know…
On Wednesdays, Thursdays*, Fridays and Saturdays*:
- The tour departs from Moreton-in-Marsh rail station by 09.45 at the latest. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before this time.
Many of our customers arrive at Moreton-in-Marsh station by train, arriving at 09.27 on weekdays. If you are staying in Moreton-in-Marsh or otherwise not arriving by train, please aim to arrive around the same time as the train – tours depart as soon as all passengers have boarded the minibus, so the sooner we have everyone on board, the more time we get to spend exploring the Cotswolds!
- The tour departs from Moreton-in-Marsh rail station by 10.00 at the latest. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before this time.
Many of our customers arrive at Moreton-in-Marsh station by train, arriving at 09.53 on Sundays. If you are staying in Moreton-in-Marsh, or otherwise not arriving by train, please aim to arrive around the same time as the train – tours depart as soon as all passengers have boarded the minibus, so the sooner we have everyone on board, the more time we get to spend exploring the Cotswolds!
Where do I meet you?
Because Moreton-in-Marsh is such a small town, and we want to operate our tours in the most efficient way possible, all passengers joining our tour at Moreton-in-Marsh are collected from a central location, which is the rail station. This applies whether you are staying in Moreton-in-Marsh or joining the tour here by train from further afield. The rail station is just a few minutes’ walk from all of the accommodation providers in Moreton-in-Marsh.
The Go Cotswolds minibus will arrive in the car park in front of the ticket office building. We have a big Mercedes minibus with Go Cotswolds logos on the side of it, so you shouldn’t be able to miss us!
What if I am late?
If you are delayed or need to contact us for any reason on the morning of the tour, please call/text/WhatsApp your tour guide – you will receive their name and mobile phone number the day before your tour, so it’s a good idea to save this in your phone. If they don’t answer the phone, they are probably driving, so please leave a message and wait and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
If you are delayed by a few minutes, we can wait for you. For more severe delays, we can usually come up with a solution to help you join the tour so please don’t worry, just contact us to let us know.
Returning to Moreton-in-Marsh
At the end of the tour, we return to Moreton-in-Marsh station by approximately 17.00.
We can also drop you off at one of our other free drop-off points (Stratford-upon-Avon, 17.30, or Leamington Spa station, 18.15) if you prefer. It’s no problem if you have luggage – we have a large luggage storage space on our minibus, so you can bring it with you!
These times are usually the latest times we will return to these locations. In case of heavy traffic or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we can never 100% guarantee to be back on time, but it’s not usually a problem!

The information we have provided here, in good faith, is correct at the time of writing (updated: September 2019). In the event of delayed or cancelled public transport, we at Go Cotswolds will do our utmost to make sure that you can still join the tour, even if it means you join a little late. However, in line with our terms and conditions (which you must agree to when you book a ticket with us), Go Cotswolds accepts no responsibility, and will provide no refund or compensation for tours missed through no fault of our own, including delayed, cancelled or missed public transport. We recommend that you take out suitable travel insurance to cover you in this eventuality.
*Tours operate on Thursdays and Saturdays between May and September only.
