Joining us on a tour of the Cotswolds from Oxford is easy, and many of our passengers choose to do just that! Here is everything you should need to know…
On Wednesdays, Thursdays* and Fridays:
- Take the 8.51am train from Oxford, which arrives at Moreton-in-Marsh at 9.27am. The tour departs from Moreton-in-Marsh station at 9.45am.
- Saturday tours start in May 2020. Please see www.nationalrail.co.uk for timetable information.
- Take the 9.16am train from Oxford, which arrives at Moreton-in-Marsh at 9.53am. The tour departs from Moreton-in-Marsh station at 10.00am.
Returning to Oxford
We aim to return to Moreton-in-Marsh station by 5.00pm (on both weekday and weekend tours).
In case of heavy traffic or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we can never 100% guarantee to be back on time, but it is usually safe to book a return train after this time.
Train times and fares
Up-to-date information on timetables and ticket prices across the British rail network can be found on the National Rail Enquiries website: www.nationalrail.co.uk.
Train timetables can occasionally change – for example, because of planned or unplanned engineering works, public holidays or special events – so please ensure you double check the train times before you travel.
Travellers from Oxford can purchase the Cotswolds Discoverer One-Day travel pass. This special ticket costs £10.50 for adults, and £5.25 for children aged 15 and under (children under 5 travel free), and provides you with one day of unlimited bus and train travel within the Cotswolds region. Buy this ticket at Oxford station on the day of travel – it is valid on all services between Oxford and Moreton-in-Marsh, so there is no need to book specific trains with this ticket.

We recommend that you take out suitable travel insurance to cover you in this eventuality.
*Tours operate on Thursdays and Saturdays between May and September only.
