We pride ourselves on being an inclusive, friendly and approachable operator that provides high quality tours at a reasonable price. We’re keen travellers ourselves and understand what it’s like to visit new places and to join onto tours; we really appreciate you travelling to join a tour in our small corner of the world. We have a relaxed and sympathetic approach to operating a minibus tour company but we do still have to have terms and conditions! They’re below. GO COTSWOLDS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By booking a Go Cotswolds tour you accept these terms and conditions for yourself and/or all other persons included in that booking (your party).
BOOKING AND PAYMENT
Unless agreed with Go Cotswolds in advance, full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your seat on a Go Cotswolds tour. Go Cotswolds accepts payment by credit card, debit card or PayPal.
For our Cotswolds Day Tour, an adult ticket must be purchased for persons aged 16 years and over; a child’s ticket must be purchased for children aged 3–16. A family ticket is for two adults and two children.
Infants under the age of 3 may travel free of charge, but at busy times are not guaranteed the use of a seat.
For our Brewery and Cotswolds Pub Tour, an adult is considered over the age of 18. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to join this tour.
PICK-UPS AND DROP-OFFS
A free pick-up is included in the cost of the tour. Please see our Cotswolds Day Tour page, or the Purity Brewery and Cotswolds Pub Tour page for details of our free pick-up locations. It is your responsibility to tell Go Cotswolds where you would like to be picked up from at the time of booking or in good time before the tour.
Pick-ups and drop-offs at locations other than those included in the ticket price may be possible but cannot be guaranteed and are subject to additional charges – please enquire before making your booking.
It is your responsibility to know your pick-up time and location at the start of the tour. Please be ready at your agreed pick-up location no less than 10 minutes before the advised departure time. If you are travelling to your departure point on the morning of the tour then it is your responsibility to arrange suitable travel plans in order to reach your departure point in good time. Go Cotswolds cannot refund tickets or provide compensation for any other expenses incurred if you miss the pick-up time through no fault of our own, including but not limited to traffic, or public transport delays or cancellations.
Meeting points and departure times at stops during the tour will be communicated to you by your driver/guide. These locations will always be the same place your driver/guide dropped you off or left you unless otherwise advised. It is your responsibility to return to these locations at the time advised by your driver/guide. Go Cotswolds cannot provide compensation for any other expenses incurred if you miss the pick-up/meeting time through no fault of our own, including but not limited to public transport/taxi fares, phone calls or data charges.
Go Cotswolds is under no obligation to wait for late passengers; however, we will make every effort to make sure you join or re-join the tour.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, pick-up times and tours are liable to change or cancellation. In the event of a time change or cancellation, Go Cotswolds will contact you as soon as is practically possible using the telephone number or email address you provided at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to ensure the contact details you provide are suitable and correct.
At the end of the tour, Go Cotswolds will return you to the same place we picked you up from. It is also possible to drop you off anywhere along our tour route, at Moreton-in-Marsh rail station or one of the other pick-up locations included in the ticket price (see our Cotswolds Day Tour page, or the Purity Brewery and Cotswolds Pub Tour page for details). Please advise Go Cotswolds in advance of the tour or your driver/guide on the day of the tour if you would like to be dropped off at an alternative location.
Go Cotswolds cannot refund tickets or provide compensation for any other expenses incurred if planned onward travel following the tour is missed due to the tour being delayed.
The minibus used for all Go Cotswolds tours has 16 passenger seats and has no additional facility to carry luggage. If you wish to bring a small bag or luggage with you it must be either carried on your person or stowed at your feet for the duration of the tour.
If the tour is not fully booked we’re happy to accommodate bigger bags, walkers and baby strollers on an unoccupied seats. However, this cannot be guaranteed. Please enquire prior to your tour if you wish to do this. Failure to do so may result in a refusal to travel.
PASSENGER SAFETY AND BEHAVIOUR
By law, and for passenger comfort and safety, all passengers must wear a seatbelt at all times while the vehicle is moving. Each seat is fitted with an individual 3-point seatbelt, and signs are in place to remind you to fasten it.
All passengers over the age of 14 years are responsible for fastening and wearing their own seatbelt. All passengers under the age of 14 years are the responsibility of the parent/guardian accompanying them on the tour. It is not mandatory for children under the age of 3 years to wear a seatbelt if they are carried on a parent or guardian’s lap. Go Cotswolds is not liable for any damage or injury caused as a result of passengers not wearing a seatbelt.
It is not permitted to eat or carry hot food, or to drink alcohol on the vehicle at any time.
Smoking is not permitted on the vehicle at any time. Please see our FAQs for more information.
Passengers over the age of 16 are responsible for their own conduct and passengers under the age of 16 are the responsibility of the parent or guardian accompanying them. You indemnify us against any liability for damage caused by you or any members of your party.
In the event of spillages or damage to the vehicle caused by you or other persons included in your booking, a cleaning or repair fee of £50 or the total cost of the repair bill (whichever is the greater) will be invoiced to the party organiser.
Aggressive, abusive or nuisance behaviour, or any behaviour deemed to be unreasonable by your driver/guide, will not be tolerated. Go Cotswolds reserves the right to terminate the tour, refuse entry to the vehicle or refuse continued participation of the tour to you (or any member of your party), for any reason, including but not limited to any behaviour deemed to have a negative impact on the enjoyment or safety of other passengers, or to the driver/guide. If this situation arises Go Cotswolds shall have no liability and will not be held responsible, or provide any compensation, for expenses incurred as a result.
Our Purity Brewery and Cotswolds Pub Tours are strictly for persons over the age of 18. You must be able to present government-issued photographic identification (e.g. a passport or photo driving licence) to prove your age on the request of your Go Cotswolds driver/guide. Failure to do so may result in a refusal to travel. If you cannot present suitable ID, Go Cotswolds reserves the right to refuse travel, and is not liable to provide any compensation or refund. Please see our FAQs for more information about UK alcohol laws and ID policies.
On our Cotswolds Day Tours, children aged between 3 and 16 years must have a ticket and be accompanied on the tour by a fare-paying adult unless otherwise agreed in advance with Go Cotswolds.
Children under the age of 3:
- are permitted on the Cotswolds Day Tour free of charge with a fare-paying adult and travel on the basis that they do not take up a seat on the minibus.
- are permitted to use a seat but a child ticket must be purchased to guarantee the use of a seat.
- are not permitted on the Purity Brewery and Cotswolds Pub Tour.
- are not permitted to travel in the front of the vehicle.
You must inform Go Cotswolds that you intend to bring a child aged between 0 and 3 even though they do not require a ticket and even if they are not going to be using a seat. Failure to do so may result in a refusal to travel.
All children aged between 0 and 14 are the responsibility of their parent(s) or guardian(s). Go Cotswolds is not required, by law, to provide child restraints or booster seats, nor do we have such devices available for use. Please see our FAQs for more information about seatbelt law and recommendations.
Children (or anyone under the age of 18) are not permitted on our Purity Brewery and Cotswolds Pub Tour at any time.
CUSTOMER CANCELLATIONS/NO-SHOWS AND TRANSFER REQUESTS
To cancel your booking and receive a full refund (less a £3 per person administration fee), you must contact Go Cotswolds by email, telephone call or SMS text message at least 48 hours before your agreed pick-up time. For example, if your pick-up time is 9.15am on a Friday, Go Cotswolds must have received your request to cancel by 9.15am the Wednesday before in order to facilitate a refund.
No refunds, full or partial, will be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled departure time.
Subject to availability, tour tickets may be transferred to an equivalent Go Cotswolds tour free of charge provided notification is received by 4.30pm the day prior to your tour. For example, if you’re due to depart on a tour on Friday morning, Go Cotswolds must have received your request to move to a different tour date (by email, telephone call or SMS text message) by 4.30pm the Thursday evening in order to facilitate the change.
No transfers will be permitted after 4.30pm the day prior to your tour and if you no longer wish to join that tour your tickets will be forfeited and no refunds, full or partial, will be issued.
There is no limit to the number of times you may transfer a booking, provided the tickets are used within 1 year of the originally booked tour date. For example, if your ticket was originally booked for June 1st 2016, you may transfer onto any future, equivalent tour up to and including the 31st of May 2017.
Tickets transferred from their original tour date are no longer eligible for a refund.
Go Cotswolds will acknowledge your request to transfer your booking, or to cancel and confirm your eligibility to receive a refund by email or via telephone call within 48 hours of receipt of the request.
You may gift or sell your tour tickets to someone else with prior approval by Go Cotswolds. However, any refunds due on gifted or resold tickets will only be credited back to the credit/debit card or PayPal account of the person who originally made the booking.
Go Cotswolds will not be held responsible, or provide any compensation, for other expenses incurred as a result of a customer transfer request, cancellation or no-show. We recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance to cover you in this eventuality.
Please note that we cannot be held responsible for emails, texts or voicemails not received within the terms outlined above.
Any refunds issued in line with the Customer Cancellations/No-Shows policy outlined above will be made within 28 days and will be credited back to the original credit or debit card, or PayPal account, from which payment was originally taken.
Refunds are subject to a £3 per person administration fee which will be deducted from your refund at the time of repayment.
CANCELLATION OR CURTAILMENT BY GO COTSWOLDS
In the unlikely event that a tour is cancelled by Go Cotswolds you will be entitled to a full refund for all monies already paid. Alternatively, subject to availability, you may transfer your tickets to any future, equivalent tour.
In the event of a cancellation Go Cotswolds will contact you as soon as is practically possible using the telephone number or email address you provided at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to ensure the contact details you provide are suitable and correct.
In the event that a tour is cut short due to circumstances beyond our control, Go Cotswolds will refund what is deemed to be a fair proportion of the cost of the tour. Go Cotswolds’ decision is final.
Go Cotswolds will not be held responsible, or provide any compensation, for other expenses incurred as a result of a cancellation made by us. We recommend that you (and your party) take out appropriate travel insurance to cover you in this eventuality.
ACCIDENT, INJURY OR LOSS
Go Cotswolds will not be held liable for any accident, injury, delay, loss, damage, inconvenience – direct or consequential, however caused – sustained on the Go Cotswolds minibus or on a tour unless due to negligence by us, in which case, our liability is limited to compensation to a maximum amount of the price paid for your tour.
