COVID-19 Information

Go Cotswolds tours: WE’RE OPEN!

As a small family-run business, we care about the safety of our passengers, our staff and the Cotswold communities we visit.

During the ongoing COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, we’re following official advice from the UK Government. We’ll only operate our tours when we’re permitted to do so, and in line with government advice.

We have received VisitEngland’s “We’re Good to Go” industry standard and the World Travel & Tourism Council‘s “Safe Travels” standardised protocols stamp. These show our commitment to keeping everyone safe on our guided tours.

What to expect on a Go Cotswolds tour

With tried and tested health and safety procedures, our tours are as safe as they possibly can be. In line with ‘Working Safely during Coronavirus’ guidance issued by the Government in England:

  • We have carried out a thorough health and safety risk assessment
  • We always keep a super-clean, well-ventilated minibus, and we conduct regular additional cleaning during each tour
  • Our team members are fully trained and up-to-date with COVID-19 health and safety policies and procedures, they are all triple-vaccinated and undergo twice-weekly lateral flow tests
  • We support the Government’s Test & Trace contract tracing scheme

Also in line with this guidance, there are a few things we will still ask you to do – even if you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

  • We’ll ask you a few quick health questions and check your temperature before you board – just to make sure everyone is fit to travel
  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided to help keep hands and surfaces clean
  • We kindly ask that you do not eat or drink on board our minibus

Social distancing

From 19th July 2021, we will be able to welcome our full capacity of 16 guests per tour.

Face coverings

From Thursday 27th January 2022, the Government continues to recommend that you wear a face covering in enclosed spaces and on public transport. However, it is no longer a legal requirement. Therefore, it is your choice to wear a face covering, or not, on board our minibus.

We will update this guidance as the Coronavirus situation progresses and when Government advice or laws change.

Our COVID-19 cancellation policy

If we have to cancel

Sometimes, COVID-19 might force us to cancel one or more of our tours. Examples of such occasions might be if regional or national restrictions mean we cannot run our business, if a member of our team becomes ill with COVID-19, or if one of our team has to self-isolate.

If we have to cancel your tour or journey, we will contact you at the earliest opportunity and offer you:

  • A transfer to a future available date, or
  • A gift voucher to the value of your purchase (so you can rebook a future available date at your convenience), or
  • A full refund

If you need to cancel

If, for any reason, you need to cancel your place on a small-group tour, then please let us know and give at least 24 hours notice. In line with our usual Terms and Conditions, we will offer you:

  • A transfer to a future available date, or
  • A gift voucher to the value of your purchase (so you can rebook a future available date at your convenience), or
  • A refund

To cancel or amend a private tour or private vehicle hire booking, please give us 14 days notice. There is a £50 cancellation fee (per day, for multi-day hires).
