COVID-19 Information

Go Cotswolds tours: BACK on 17 May 2021!

As a small family-run business, we care about the safety of our passengers, our staff and the Cotswold communities we visit.

During the ongoing COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, we’re following official advice from the UK Government. We’ll only operate our tours when we’re permitted to do so, and in line with government advice.

We have received VisitEngland’s “We’re Good to Go” industry standard and the World Travel & Tourism Council‘s “Safe Travels” standardised protocols stamp. These show our commitment to keeping everyone safe on our guided tours.

What to expect on a Go Cotswolds tour

We were permitted to operate in August, September and October 2020, so we already have experience of operating in a pandemic. With tried and tested COVID-19 procedures, our tours are as safe as they possibly can be.

  • We have carried out a thorough risk assessment
  • We always keep a super-clean minibus, with regular additional cleaning during the tour
  • All of our driver-guides have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine and undergo twice-weekly COVID-19 tests
  • Our staff are fully trained and up-to-date with COVID-19 health and safety policies and procedures

Until things are fully back to ‘normal’, there are a few things we will ask you to do – even if you have had a COVID-19 vaccination.

  • We’ll ask you a few quick health questions and check your temperature before you board – to be on the safe side!
  • The hand sanitiser provided must be used to reduce virus spread
  • Unless you are exempt, you must wear a face covering on board the minibus – it’s still the law, for now
  • We have fewer passengers on board and socially distanced seating, so please remain in your allocated seat during the tour

This guidance will be updated as the Coronavirus situation progresses and when Government advice or laws change.

Our COVID-19 cancellation policy

If we have to cancel

There may be times when COVID-19 forces us to cancel one or more of our tours. Examples of such occasions might be if regional or national restrictions mean we cannot run our business, if a member of our team becomes ill with COVID-19, or if one of our team has to self-isolate.

If we have to cancel your tour or journey, we will contact you at the earliest opportunity and offer you:

  • A transfer to a future available date, or
  • A gift voucher to the value of your purchase (so you can rebook a future available date at your convenience), or
  • A full refund

If you need to cancel

If, for any reason, you need to cancel your place on a small-group tour, please let us know, giving us at least 24 hours notice. In line with our usual Terms and Conditions, we will offer you:

  • A transfer to a future available date, or
  • A gift voucher to the value of your purchase (so you can rebook a future available date at your convenience), or
  • A refund

To cancel or amend a private tour or private vehicle hire booking, a 14-day notice period is required, and a £50 cancellation fee (per day, for multi-day hires) applies.
