June has absolutely flown by and we’re hurtling towards the first anniversary of our very first tour of the Cotswolds that we did on the 11th of July 2014. I can’t believe a year has nearly gone past already!
At the start of June we had our first Purity Brewery and Cotswolds pub tour – our first venture into another type of tour in addition to the day tours of the Cotswolds we started in July 2014 and continue to offer from Stratford-upon-Avon on Wednedays, Fridays and Sundays.
The brewery and Cotswolds pub tours occur on the first Saturday of every month and visit the fantastic Purity Brewery for a tour and tasting in the morning, head to the equally fantastic Golden Cross for lunch before heading into the hills to appreciate a number of fine establishments that the Cotswolds has to offer.
Our intrepid visitors on the first tour – of which there were seven, six who we met at Warwick Parkway having travelled up from London for the day and one from Alcester – really enjoyed themselves although they all admitted to being a little light headed by the time I dropped them off!
The weather was very kind to us during the day but I’m pretty confident that had it have rained it wouldn’t have dampened the spirits anyway.
The tours cost £55 per person and included in the price is the tour and tasting at the brewery, lunch and a beer at the Golden Cross and your transport all day so you don’t have to worry about driving. The tour visits Chipping Campden so for those wishing to have a break from the pubs can explore a traditional Cotswold market town with a handy map which we provide.
The next tour is this coming Saturday the 4th of July. For more information and to book a brewery and pub tour then please contact Tom Benjamin on 07786920166 or e-mail on firstname.lastname@example.org. Or head to our bookings page http://gocotswolds.wpengine.com/calendar/category/brewery-pub-tour.
