1. It’s quieter in the Cotswolds.

One of the best reasons to visit the Cotswolds in September is because most other people visit in the summer!

During the summer months of June, July and August, when many families take vacations during the school holidays, some parts of the Cotswolds can be heaving with visitors – especially the really popular towns like Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water.

By the end of the first week of September, European children are back at school, so those visitors who don’t need to travel in school holidays can enjoy the Cotswolds with far fewer people around! 2. It’s beautiful in the Cotswolds in September!

September is that sweet spot where it’s not too hot, not too cold, and just right for exploring.
