A family day out in the Cotswolds is a great way to get together

Thinking about a family day out in the Cotswolds? If there’s one thing the pandemic has taught us, it’s that time with family and friends is precious. Real life, face-to-face time together, not just on the phone or via Zoom!

A family day out in the Cotswolds makes a great way to spend quality time together. There is something for everyone in the Cotswolds – for children, adults, foodies, history buffs, outdoorsy types, culture vultures, nature lovers and more.

But if you have a large family or group of friends, it can be tricky to make the logistics work. What if you don’t all fit in one car? What if you don’t have a car at all?

Take a private tour for a family day out in the Cotswolds

How about taking a private tour of the Cotswolds? That way, the whole family can make new memories together.

A private tour definitely takes away a lot of the stress of planning a family day out in the Cotswolds. You can be picked up where you want to be picked up. Dropped off where you want to be dropped off. See the places you want to see, and see them in your own time. Plus, you’ll have the benefit of a friendly, local guide to show you around and help you get the most out of your day.

The problem is, most companies offering private tours of the Cotswolds only have small vehicles; perhaps a standard car, or a 7- or 8-seater people-carrier at best.

But that’s where Go Cotswolds comes in!

Go Cotswolds offers private tours for larger groups

For 1-16 passengers:

Here at Go Cotswolds, we have two 17-seater minibuses, so we can carry up to 16 passengers per vehicle (plus the driver-guide of course!). There’s plenty of space for you, your partner, your kids, granny, granddad, aunties, uncles, cousins… There’s plenty of space for luggage too!

Both our vehicles are custom-built for touring, with reclining leather seats, air-conditioning and heating, and panoramic windows so everyone gets a great view.

(Please note that the maximum number of 16 passengers includes any children and babies in your group, even if they do not occupy a seat. Please see our Terms & Conditions and read our recent blog post for special advice regarding children.)

For 17+ passengers

If there are more than 16 people in your group, we can hire larger coaches from our trusted friends at a local, family-run coach company. We’ll also supply you with one of our local expert tour guides.

We’ve led tours for as many as 72 people in the past – so we’re not fazed by very large groups at all!
