June was a very busy month for us as and not only, as it turns out, with our regular day tours of the Cotswolds from Stratford-upon-Avon!

These were busy – as was our Purity Brewery and Cotswolds Pub tour which saw a great group of 16 from the Old Olive Bush Pub in Flecknoe join us – but we also took part in some other activities that are out of our regular remit.

We’ve already blogged about the first – the reception we attended at the Houses of Parliament but for the second activity we found ourselves in front of the cameras!

Earlier in the month of June we were approached by Shakespeare’s England (the tourism group that looks after Stratford-upon-Avon and surrounding area) to help a TV crew from Australia who were putting together a feature on the area.

As part of a show called ‘A Taste of Travel’ – which will be airing on Australia’s Network Ten in September – they were putting together a feature that included the Cotswolds and Stratford-upon-Avon. They wanted a local to speak to so that’s where we came in!

We all met up in Chipping Capden and after presenter Carolyne Randole had presented a short feature about the Cotswolds stood on the green by the Town Hall in Chipping Campden she then interviewed me about various different things to do with the Cotswolds.

Goodness knows what I’m going to look like on camera – a nervous wreck I expect! – but it was great fun to be involved with.

So, if you’re in Australia and you want to see me on the TV talking about the Cotswolds tune into Network Ten on the 24th of September when the show will be airing!
